Scottsdale Marketing and Advertising Agency Recognized for Diversity Campaign
PHOENIX, March 5, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- FabCom, a strategic, integrated marketing and advertising agency dedicated to social causes and community marketing, received Honorable Mention in the Cynopsis Social Good Awards' national recognition program. The marketing agency was recognized for its diversity campaign: "Diversity Means More Than Hue at ATSU."
The campaign was created for A.T. Still University – a leading health sciences university and the founding institution of osteopathic medicine.
"Our creative team was incredibly proud to design a campaign championing such an important social cause that not only raises diversity awareness but also has the power to change lives," says Latham Floyd, one of FabCom's senior creative directors.
FabCom, a mid-sized advertising agency based in Phoenix, Ariz., was named a 2017 finalist in the Diversity Campaign category among industry giants such as A&E Networks, WWE & Special Olympics, The Atlanta Hawks, FUSION/UNIVISION, and Viacom International Media Networks.
Journalist and author Katie Couric was among the celebrity guest speakers at the awards breakfast in New York on March 2. Representing ATSU was Clyde Evans, PhD, former chairman of ATSU's Board of Trustees and Harvard faculty member. Representing FabCom was Chief Relationship Officer Paul Reichert, who also is a former ATSU board trustee.
The campaign integrated print, collateral, video, mobile webinar platform, and website communications to increase awareness/communication of the University's innovative, progressive programs and institutional focus.
Campaign objectives included reinforcing the University's commitment to influencing a culturally rich community embracing all differences. The marketing effort represents their outreach to underserved populations with a message of inclusiveness and encouragement, and inspiring people of diversity to be doctors, dentists, and health science professionals.
While still in the rollout stages, the campaign's impact is being realized. Year-over-year applications have yet to be measured (lagging indicator), although the University was ranked among the Top 100 Minority Degree Producers in 2016.
"We're extremely honored to receive this recognition, and humbled to be a representative 'David' among the 'Goliaths' of companies in our category," says Brian Fabiano, FabCom CEO. "We'rea giant killer when it comes to holistically championing small-to-mid-size brands and effectively competing with much larger brands for market share."
He adds: "Among the national campaigns that made it to the finalist round, our modest budget rivaled the impact value of multi-million-dollar campaigns. Our agency's focus on social causes, combined with our team of creative, strategic, and technology ninjas, helps demonstrate our capability and passion to make a greater impact for every dollar invested."
