Sears Holdings' 'Win 1 Billion Points' Campaign Chooses Rebuilding Together as a Featured Charity

Consumers submit videos explaining how they would spend One Billion Points (a $1 million value), with half being designated to charity

WASHINGTON, Aug. 5 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Rebuilding Together announced today that it has been chosen as a featured charity for the Sears and Kmart Shop Your Way Rewards "What Would You Do With One Billion Points" contest(1).

The "What Would You Do With One Billion Points" contest will give a lucky Sears or Kmart customer the chance to win up to 1 billion Shop Your Way Reward points – which equals up to $1 million in merchandise. Customers can enter by uploading a 45 second video telling America what they would do with One Billion Shop Your Way Reward points, and America will vote for one winner from July to October.

The "What Would You Do With One Billion Points" contest celebrates the first year anniversary of Shop Your Way Rewards program, and the video entry submitted online that receives the highest number of votes will be announced as the official winner in Fall 2010. Fifty percent of the points from the prize pool will be given to the winner to spend as they choose, while the other half is split between charities as the winner allocates.
