STANFORD, Calif., Oct. 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Secretary of the Interior and Energy Dominance Council Chair Doug Burgum is joining the second stop of the Energy Freedom Tour at Stanford University today.
The stop, hosted by the American Conservation Coalition and the Hamm Institute for American Energy in partnership with Stanford University, will feature other guests including Founder and CEO of Heron Power Drew Baglino; PG&E CEO Patti Poppe; Hamm Institute Executive Director Dr. Ann Bluntzer Pullin; and ACC Founder Benji Backer.
ACC VP of Development Alex Joyce said, "Inspiring the next generation of Americans to enter the energy industry is essential to unleashing the power of American energy. We are proud to do our part to build an all-of-the-above energy future, and our team is excited to bring the message to the West Coast."
Hamm Institute Executive Director Ann Bluntzer Pullin said, "We look forward to continuing the Energy Freedom Tour and building a smart, innovative workforce for the future of American energy. We're grateful to Stanford University for their partnership in bringing this message to their student body."
The Energy Freedom Tour is designed to bring energy leaders of today and energy leaders of tomorrow together to share perspectives and champion an innovative, all-of-the-above approach to American energy abundance. Additionally, the tour seeks to highlight the importance of energy jobs, which are high-impact, well-paid, and mission-critical. The goal is simple: recruit the talent that will build and operate America's energy infrastructure and keep our competitive edge. Students can sign up for the Legacy Center, a job board for energy and conservation work.
The tour began in late September with guests including current and former Energy Secretaries Chris Wright and Ernie Moniz in Boston. The event was followed by an exclusive laboratory tour and included time for MIT students to present innovative projects to Secretary Wright.
