The collaboration between Secunia and FS-ISAC provides the financial services sector with access to the world's leading vulnerability intelligence and allows members to benefit from the reliable, comprehensive and accurate threat alerts from Secunia's Research Team.
The FS-ISAC is the only industry forum for collaboration on critical security threats facing the financial services sector in the US and abroad. Their mission is to enhance the ability of the sector to prepare for and respond to cyber and physical threats, vulnerabilities and incidents, and to serve as the primary communications channel for the sector.
"When attacks occur, early warning and expert advice through collaboration can mean the difference between business continuity and widespread business catastrophe," explained Eric Guerrino, Executive Vice President, FS-ISAC. "Our members rely on receiving timely notification and authoritative information specifically designed to help them protect critical systems and assets from physical and cyber security threats. The timely and authoritative information on vulnerabilities is what we know Secunia is uniquely qualified to provide, and that is why we have chosen Secunia to be our source for the vulnerability intelligence our members need," said Mr. Guerrino.
Secunia will provide FS-ISAC, and its more than 4,000 members, with best-in-class vulnerability intelligence to tighten IT infrastructure security, ensure business continuity and minimize business damage. The accurate, researched, real-time alerts on emerging new threats supports organizations in handling the growing vulnerability threat: the intelligence provides them with the necessary insights into current threat levels and remediation, and is an important aspect of risk management and in assisting financial organizations to meet compliance requirements.
"We are proud to be chosen as the security intelligence provider by an organization as reputable as the FS-ISAC. The organization is a trusted ally of respected institutions such as the US Treasury and the Financial Services Sector Coordinating Council, and we are pleased that with this partnership the FS-ISAC recognizes the quality and reliability of Secunia's vulnerability intelligence. Secunia can offer the members of FS-ISAC the threat intelligence that they require to protect their digital assets," said Thomas Zeihlund, Secunia's CEO.
The agreement between Secunia and FS-ISAC also gives members of FS-ISAC advantageous terms on subscriptions to the Secunia Vulnerability Intelligence Manager solution (VIM) with its database consisting of more than 42,000 products, remediation suggestions, in-depth technical analysis and compliancy policy configuration.
