Semi-Conductor Industry Innovator Joins Scott & White Healthcare

TEMPLE, Texas, May 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Scott & White Healthcare has named Stephen F. Sullivan, MBA, chief strategy officer for the system. Sullivan, a 33-year veteran of Intel Corporation, joined the Scott & White senior leadership team on May 1.

As chief strategy officer, Sullivan will lead strategy, business development and supply chain operations to ensure that organizational and governance structure, outside resources, and systems infrastructure are put in place to guide current and future strategic investments and business plans at Scott & White.

Known for his leadership in innovation as well as strategic development, Sullivan is the holder of three technology patents. His diverse professional background includes leadership roles in development and manufacturing in domestic and international settings. Sullivan has initiated processes optimizing quality, capacity and cost reduction in Malaysia, introduced Lean manufacturing practices in Costa Rica to yield breakthrough performance in labor productivity and capital efficiency, and led efforts to reduce costs within the supply chain of a unit of Intel's worldwide materials organization. Sullivan is also known for his work in improving safety, launching start-up activities to ensure the success of high volume manufacturing outcomes and leading the development and introduction of new products.

A graduate of Cornell University, Sullivan began his career with Intel as a process engineer. While continuing his professional advancement at Intel, Sullivan earned a Master of Science degree in engineering from San Jose State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Arizona State University.
