Halliburton Company Analyst Notes
On June 17, 2014, Halliburton Company (Halliburton) announced that it has implemented the first contract geological assessment of Karasevskoe and Yuzhno-Tanlovskoe oil, gas, and condensate fields (Project YAMAL) in partnership with Fund Energy, wherein the latter acquired the rights for the development of the two fields in public auctions held in 2012 and 2013 by the Russian Federal Subsoil Resources Management Agency. According to the Company, the contract fits within the framework of a Memorandum of Understanding signed in January 2014 for strategic cooperation in the geological assessment and development of Project YAMAL and other Fund Energy oil and gas projects in Eastern and Western Siberia. Weatherford International Ltd. Analyst Notes
On June 17, 2014, Weatherford International, plc announced that shareholders of Weatherford International Ltd. (Weatherford International), its predecessor Company, have overwhelmingly approved changing its place of incorporation from Switzerland to Ireland at an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders held on June 16, 2014. The Company stated that on the announcement date, Weatherford Switzerland merged into Weatherford Ireland, which is now the parent of the Weatherford International group of companies. The Company informed that post the merger, the parent Company of the Weatherford International group of companies continues to be subject to U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, reporting requirements as well as the rules of the New York Stock Exchange, and its ordinary shares will be exclusively listed on the NYSE under the symbol "WFT."
