Shapiro+Raj Promotes Dr. Margaret Mueller to President

CHICAGO, Oct. 17, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Shapiro+Raj, the sixth-largest independent insights and inspiration company in North America, today announced that Dr. Margaret Mueller has been promoted to President of the firm.

Dr. Mueller has advised senior decision-makers across a wide range of industries in social-science based research methods for over 18 years. Prior to being promoted, she ran the pharmaceutical and healthcare practice at Shapiro+Raj, called CarbonSix. Under Margaret's leadership CarbonSix grew 30% over the past three years. Shapiro+Raj recently combined all of their independent units to offer a fully integrated suite of research and insights solutions to clients.

In her role, Dr. Mueller will lead client teams to deliver powerful insights and inspired ideas. She will also collaborate with other company leaders in further developing the Digital Insights and Intelligence Practice.

Margaret holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an M.A. in Social Science from the University of Chicago, and a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. 

She has received research awards from The National Institutes of Health, Harvard University, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is the founding Alumni Board President for the MAPSS program at U of C.
