The Marketplace will open its doors with Switches from Google Shopping, Walmart, Kroger, Bass Pro Shops, and more than 6,000 additional retailers, distributors, PIM providers, and data aggregators.
A Switch is a data export module that retailers, distributors, and third-party providers utilize to configure their unique product data, image, and delivery preferences. Once configured, retailers publish to the Switch Marketplace where the Switches can be used by manufacturers to automate anything from simple delivery to complete conversion, formatting, normalization, validation and scheduled backend delivery of their content. Importantly, retailers can modify their Switch configurations at any time without requiring additional communication with – or action from – their trading partners.
Once in use, the Switch-based workflow can replace a manual process that often takes manufacturers up to 200 hours a year per retailer to complete, allowing them to focus on improving the quality of their content and reducing labor costs and time-to-market by up to 90 percent.
Switch subscriptions cost as little as $30 per month and can be paid for by either the brand or the retail owner of the configured Switch.
