Siegfried Welcomes Four New Associate Directors to its National Market Leadership Team in the West

Cassandra Essick, Kristen Flores, Anees Pretorius, and Etshoko Yindja recently completed an intensive, four-month program called Director Explore (DX), which immerses high-potential employees in leadership advisory and sales trainings run by various members of Siegfried's senior leadership, including CEO and Founder, Rob Siegfried.

As Associate Directors, they will support their Markets with leadership advisory, business development, and recruiting. The goal of DX is to allow interested individuals to explore the role of Director, and those who are successful in the program may go on to become Directors and, potentially, Managing Directors.

Siegfried congratulates the new Associate Directors on their accomplishments thus far and wishes them luck as they take on this new and challenging role.

Cassandra Essick joined Siegfried in 2016 as a Market Associate, and now serves as an Associate Director in the Los Angeles Market. Prior to this, Essick gained nearly 15 years of experience in mortgage, credit analysis, and property management. She earned her Bachelor of Science in exercise science with a concentration in business from the University of Delaware.

"I joined DX because of Siegfried's unique culture of entrepreneurialism and connectivity," she said. "Being part of a Firm that has a higher purpose to help people become better leaders to exponentially improve their lives has truly resonated with me."

Cassandra loves to spend time with her husband and her 10-year-old son. An athlete, she enjoys running 10Ks and half marathons. She also loves football and looks forward to attending Philadelphia Eagles games, as well as UCLA and USC games.

Kristen Flores joined Siegfried in 2016 as a Market Associate, and now serves as an Associate Director in the Los Angeles Market. Before this, Flores gained experience at the entertainment empires of the Walt Disney Company and DreamWorks Animation. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Pepperdine University.

"I will forever be grateful for the opportunity to be part of DX," Flores said. "Not only did this program help me learn about my new role, but it shaped me into a more thankful, knowledgeable, and happy person."

Since she was seven years old, Flores has raced dirt bikes and continues to do so with her brother and father. One of her favorite things to do is watch the Disneyland fireworks in front of the Magic Castle with an ice cream cone in her hand.

Anees Pretorius, a Chartered Accountant, joined Siegfried in early 2016 as a Professional Resource, and now serves as an Associate Director for the San Francisco and San Jose Markets. After graduating from the University of Cape Town with a bachelor's degree in business science and a postgraduate Diploma in Accounting, Pretorius spent the first six years of his career at Deloitte.

"This was such an incredible experience," said Pretorius. "Being in DX was truly transformative and the program confirmed a lot of ideas I had about my individual purpose. It also helped me identify how I can become a better leader."

One day, Pretorius, who is fascinated by ideas of all kinds, hopes to write a book — or several books — about business. He enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors, and traveling. He and his wife are looking forward to visiting new countries over the next several years.

Etshoko Yindja joined Siegfried in 2016 as a Market Associate and now serves as an Associate Director for the San Francisco and San Jose Markets. Yindja attended California State University, East Bay and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing and corporate management. Most recently, she held a sales support role at Blommer Chocolate Company.

"When I started with the Firm, I could immediately see that the DX program was an exceptional opportunity," she said. "I knew that I would be able to leverage my experience in the program for the rest of my career."

A former competitive volleyball player, Yindja loves exploring new cultures through art, food, music, dance, and interacting with interesting and diverse people. Diversity is one of her favorite aspects of living in the Bay Area, and she enjoys attending local cultural festivals. She is involved in a community non-profit and enjoys lending her time and support to special causes and projects.
