Siegfried Welcomes New Professionals to its Central Region
Employees Travel to Philadelphia for Orientation
WILMINGTON, Del., Aug. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Siegfried Group, LLP (Siegfried) recently convened a group of professionals from across the United States at the Hyatt at Bellevue in Philadelphia for New Hire Orientation.
Siegfried's New Hire Orientation program introduces professionals to its extraordinary culture, compelling business strategy and interesting work. During the three-day event, new employees learn more about the company, meet members of Siegfried's Leadership and Operations teams, and become acquainted with fellow Professional Resources. Notably, all new employees have the opportunity to meet with Rob Siegfried, Founder and CEO, about Siegfried's higher purpose: We help People become better Leaders to exponentially improve their Lives.
A welcome reception was held at the Bellevue's Conservatory and the group also dined at Butcher & Singer. The event concluded with an outing to Lucky Strike bowling alley.
Siegfried is excited to welcome Scott Baiocchi, Sarah Hudson, A.J. Kallay, Martin Marasigan, and Jessica Smith to its Central region.
Scott Baiocchi, CPA
Scott, a Certified Public Accountant, joins the Philadelphia Metro Market as a Senior Associate. Before this, he gained three years of audit experience at KPMG in the construction, manufacturing and health insurance industries. He earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from York College of Pennsylvania.
A reliable team member, Scott leverages his confidence, commitment, and communication skills as he embraces new challenges and opportunities. "Siegfried has a really unique business strategy and a team-oriented culture," he said.
Scott enjoys the challenges associated with navigating today's financial markets through automation. During the past six months, he has researched, developed, and backtested several trading algorithms for live trading. As an avid golfer and a new resident of Philadelphia, he looks forward to golfing on some of Philly's best courses.
Sarah Hudson, CPA
Sarah, a Certified Public Accountant, joins the Philadelphia Metro Market as a Senior Associate. Prior to this, she worked for a year as an internal auditor at Checkpoint Systems, Inc and gained three years of public accounting experience at BDO and Elliott Davis, LLP. She earned her Bachelor of Science in accounting and her Master of Professional Accountancy from Clemson University.
Sarah is a spirited problem-solver who understands the importance of building relationships to produce dynamic and practical solutions. She blends her analytical thinking and communication skills to help clients achieve outstanding results. By isolating the issue at hand and the steps required to solve the problem, she reaches the best solution and presents it in a clear, concise manner.
In her free time, Sarah loves spending time with friends and family through exercise, travel, concerts, or simply exploring Philadelphia. During the football season, she often flies to her alma mater in South Carolina to cheer on the Clemson Tigers. Originally from Baltimore, she is also an avid fan of the Ravens and crab cakes. Her favorite country she's travelled to is South Africa, and one of her goals is to visit all 50 U.S. states.
A.J. Kallay
A.J. joins the Cleveland Market as a Senior Associate. He comes to Siegfried from EY, where he gained valuable experience in the manufacturing industry. Prior to that, he held a position at Coltene/Whaledent Inc., a manufacturer of dental equipment. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in accounting from the University of Mount Union and his Master of Business Administration from Cleveland State University.
With a positive and proactively reassuring attitude, A.J. helps alleviate the stress of his coworkers and brings them together. He prioritizes individual tasks while focusing on the bigger picture to achieve success. "I joined Siegfried because I missed the industry and I was eager to complete satisfying work," he said. "At Siegfried, I'll have the chance to experience different atmospheres with multiple clients in various industries."
When A.J. is not studying for his CPA exam, he enjoys running, watching any and all Cleveland sports teams, spending time with his friends, and exploring the constantly changing world of craft beers. A.J. is currently training for his second marathon, which he'll run in 2017. He also looks forward to traveling in the next few years.
Martin Marasigan, CPA, CA
Martin, a Chartered Professional Accountant, joins the Chicago Market as an Associate Manager. Originally from Toronto, he's excited about his move south of the border to the "Windy City." Prior to joining Siegfried, he spent four years in public accounting with EY, where he serviced a broad range of financial institution clients, both in Canada and the United States. He also spent a year in industry working for a Canadian telecommunications company, Telus. Martin earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from the Schulich School of Business at York University.
With a "work hard and play hard mentality," Martin creates a cohesive team dynamic inside of a fun and positive working environment to get the job done. "Being a part of a growing company and being exposed to challenging work on a daily basis is what attracted me to Siegfried."
During his down time, Martin loves to be active and will play any sport. He is a huge sports fan and his allegiances are with his hometown of Toronto, particularly the Blue Jays. He loves to travel and experience new cultures. Some of his past trips include backpacking through Europe and road tripping through Canada and the United States. Sooner rather than later, he hopes to travel to South East Asia and South America.
Jessica Smith
Jessica joins the Detroit Market as a Manager. Before coming to Siegfried, Jessica gained eight years of corporate experience at GM Financial and Severstal and two years of audit experience at PwC. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from the University of Michigan.
Jessica's strong problem-solving ability allows her to identify, communicate, and execute innovative solutions for clients. She brings confidence, commitment, and a positive attitude to every project. "Obtaining exposure to new and exciting projects, increasing my leadership skills, and taking control of my future was what brought me to Siegfried," she said.
During her free time, Jessica focuses on her family and planning Disney vacations. She's a bit of a Disney-addict — last year, she traveled to Disney World seven times with family and friends!
