Employees Travel to Las Vegas for Orientation
WILMINGTON, Del., July 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Siegfried Group, LLP (Siegfried) recently convened a group of professionals from across the United States at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Las Vegas, NV for New Hire Orientation.
Siegfried's New Hire Orientation program introduces professionals to its extraordinary culture, compelling business strategy and interesting work. During the three-day event, new employees learn more about Siegfried, meet members of Siegfried's Leadership and Operations teams, and become acquainted with fellow Professional Resources. Importantly, all new employees are given the opportunity to meet with Rob Siegfried, Founder and CEO, about Siegfried's higher purpose: We help People become better Leaders to exponentially improve their Lives.
A welcome reception was held at the Mandarin Oriental hotel's pool deck on the first night of orientation, and during the remainder of the week, the group enjoyed dinners at restaurants such as Nobu, Delmonico Steakhouse and Costa di Mare.
Siegfried is excited to welcome Seema Grover, Sean Johnson, Sameer Khan and Vishnu Menon to the Firm.
Seema Grover, CPA, CA
Seema, a Chartered Professional Accountant, joins the Chicago Market as a Senior Associate. Before coming to Siegfried, she gained more than three years of audit experience at EY in the power and utilities and oil and gas industries. She earned her Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and her Master of Professional Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan in Canada.
With a positive and passionate attitude, Seema creates new and innovative solutions that allow her and her team to exceed expectations. "I'm looking forward to the work I'll do with Siegfried, and I'm excited to be exposed to multiple industries in various roles that will broaden my professional skills and personal network."
Seema loves travelling and has visited more than 15 countries. For her next adventure, she has her eyes on a trip to Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe. She also has a passion for volunteering and looks forward to finding new opportunities to do so. This summer and fall, she anticipates watching professional sporting events and cheering on her favorite Canadian teams.
Sean Johnson
Sean joins the Chicago Market as a Senior Associate. He comes to Siegfried from EY, where he gained four years of audit experience, primarily in the manufacturing and biotechnology industries. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from The Ohio State University.
Sean said he was drawn to Siegfried's culture of building balanced, well-rounded professionals who exhibit a diverse set of skills. He looks forward to working alongside talented colleagues and clients who bring out the best in each other and collaborate to find creative solutions to problems.
A passionate Cleveland and Ohio State sports fan, Sean enjoys seeking new experiences, such as exploring unfamiliar cities and neighborhoods, trying restaurants off the beaten path, and listening to local bands. As a new Chicagoan, he is excited to spend his summer discovering all that the city has to offer.
Sameer Khan, CPA, CA
Sameer, a Chartered Professional Accountant, joins the Houston Market as a Manager. Previously, Sameer was a Manager in the Professional Practice Group and a Manager in the Assurance Group for EY Canada. He has extensive experience in the oil and gas, as well as financial services industries. Sameer received his Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the Haskayne School of Business (University of Calgary).
Sameer's systematic framework and passionate work-ethic harmonize to create innovative results. He prides himself on his ability to deliver effective and creative outcomes to his clients in a concise manner. "I joined the Siegfried family for the opportunity to grow my network and work alongside a diverse group of like-minded people," he said.
A born adventurer, Sameer enjoys expanding his knowledge of different cultures through travel. He has explored ancient Indian and Mayan temples, the coral reefs in Cozumel and been in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong and Morocco. Sameer recently moved to Houston, TX and is excited about the prospect of year-round golf.
Vishnu Menon, CPA
Vishnu, a Certified Public Accountant, joins the Chicago Market as a Senior Associate. He comes to Siegfried from KPMG, where he gained nearly four years of audit experience and worked with clients in the financial services, consumer goods, and real estate industries. He earned his Bachelor of Commerce with a focus in Accounting and Finance from McMaster University in Canada.
Vishnu's calm and calculated approach to problem solving, in conjunction with his desire to add value to people around him, makes him an asset to every team. "The opportunity to learn about a company's systems and process with the aim of ultimately adding new value and efficiency is why I wanted to be a part of Siegfried," he said.
A certified personal trainer, Vishnu stays active through sports and hitting the gym—which is a good thing since he loves food! He's also a fan of basketball, and enjoys travelling from his new home in Chicago to his hometown of Toronto to watch the Raptors play. But no matter where he goes, he strives to maintain his social, spiritual, emotional, and physical balance.
