Siegfried Welcomes New Professionals to its South Region

Siegfried's New Hire Orientation program introduces professionals to its extraordinary culture, compelling business strategy and interesting work. During the three-day event, new employees learn more about the company, meet members of Siegfried's Leadership and Operations teams, and become acquainted with fellow Professional Resources. Notably, all new employees have the opportunity to meet with Rob Siegfried, Founder and CEO, about Siegfried's higher purpose: We help People become better Leaders to exponentially improve their Lives.

A welcome reception was held at the Four Seasons' Wit & Wisdom restaurant on the first night of orientation, and during the remainder of the week, the group enjoyed a meal at Cinghiale and a lively dinner cruise aboard the Spirit of Baltimore.

Siegfried is excited to welcome Darren Davis, Dan Hughes, Brock Shahan and Crystal Williams to its South Region.

Darren Davis
Darren joins the Charlotte Market as a Senior Associate. Previously, Darren was with PwC for three years, working in the audit practice with a focus on the financial services industry. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from Radford University.

An exemplary professional, Darren concentrates on providing strong leadership and teamwork and inspiring others to achieve the highest level of results. He has the mental agility to learn, adapt, and excel in any situation. His confidence, positive attitude, and work ethic ensure that all client projects are executed above expectation and provide valuable solutions. "I joined Siegfried to learn the intricacies of Fortune 500 companies as I continue to grow in my career," he said.

Darren enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and coaching youth basketball teams.

Dan Hughes
Dan joins the DC Market as a Senior Associate. Before coming to Siegfried, Dan gained three years of audit experience at RSM, focusing primarily on the government contracting and technology industries. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in both Accounting and Finance from Longwood University.

Dan continually comes up with creative solutions and leads his teams to a successful finish. His proactive and detailed mindset allow him to take swift action and achieve high-quality results, as well as establish a structure for others to follow. Dan's tactical innovations enable him to efficiently shape decisions and create a path forward that exceeds his clients' expectations. "The ability to leave a lasting impact on a client by helping them in their most complex accounting projects, topped with working alongside likeminded professionals for a company that values employee development, is why I joined Siegfried."

A true "car guy," Dan enjoys working on classic cars and going to car shows in his Pontiac Trans Am. He is also a sports fan and enjoys cheering for DC teams. When he's not working in the garage, cruising in his car or catching a Washington Nationals game, Dan enjoys staying connected and giving back to his alma mater by serving on the Alumni Board of the Business School at Longwood.

Brock Shahan, CPA
Brock, a Certified Public Accountant, joins the Charlotte Market as a Manager. Prior to this, he served as an Audit Manager in the Financial Services Office at EY in Tulsa, Oklahoma, gaining six years of external audit experience with a primary focus on publicly-held community banks with assets from $2 billion–$30 billion. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance with an Accounting double-major from the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University (OSU).

He distinguishes himself with his unique ability to integrate quickly into any team and bring people together, while utilizing his strong work ethic and extensive subject-matter experience to tackle difficult projects and produce exceptional results. "I wanted to be a part of Siegfried because it represents an opportunity to bring different groups and teams together towards a common goal, without losing focus on the 'why' along the way," he said. "I'm looking forward to contributing to an environment of sustained success in which mistakes are learned from — not repeated."

Brock enjoys spending time with his daughter and twin sons. He has appeared in several television commercials in Oklahoma, ranging from car dealerships to barbeque joints. When Brock — a self-diagnosed cinephile — isn't avoiding the many paparazzi and autograph-seekers, he enjoys watching, discussing, and quoting movies and TV shows from all genres. He stays active by playing golf and softball, and passionately supports all OSU sports.

Crystal Williams
Crystal joins the Charlotte Market as an Associate Manager after spending four years at Deloitte with a primary focus on the energy industry. She earned her bachelor's degree in Accounting from the College of Charleston and her master's degree in Accounting from Winthrop University.

An exceptional professional, Crystal possesses a unique ability to integrate quickly into any team and enjoys working closely with others. She always brings a positive attitude and enthusiasm to inspire those around her. Crystal's commitment makes her a true difference maker and a crucial part of every project. "I made the decision to join Siegfried because I want the opportunity to be exposed to a variety of clients, projects and industries, and Siegfried presented that opportunity," she said.

Crystal enjoys spending time with her family and friends, getting involved with her community through her sorority, and participating in activities with her church.
