Simon Group Holdings Announces Leadership Appointments
BIRMINGHAM, Mich., June 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Simon Group Holdings (SGH) Founder and Chairman Sam Simon today announced two key leadership appointments. Chris Mattina, formerly the company's chief financial officer (CFO), is promoted to executive vice president overseeing the finance, operations and digital marketing teams. He will support Simon with the strategic growth of SGH's many companies and investments.
According to Simon: "At his core, Chris is an entrepreneur, from founding a 14-partner investment company while he was in college, to launching a 3-D scanning start up. His experience at Atlas Oil, as manager of strategic initiatives, provided an opportunity for him to determine how we could both grow and reinvent our business units. He also worked closely with the team that launched our company Vixta Solutions, and contributed to our digital disruption strategy. Recently, as CFO, he was a key member of the team that led to recent acquisitions. I'm delighted to trust Chris with greater responsibility as we continue to grow Simon Group Holdings."
Replacing Mattina is Maura Hynes who is appointed CFO and chief of staff. Hynes will provide strategic financial counsel to SGH's platform companies and investment partners. Previously she was the director of reporting for both Rock Ventures, LLC, and Rockbridge Growth Equity LLC, both part of the Quicken Loans family of companies.

Mattina holds a M.S. in accounting from Oakland University, and a B.A., also in accounting, from Michigan State University. Hynes has a Master of Professional Accountancy degree from Walsh University, and a B.S. in actuarial science, from Eastern Michigan University.
