Simon's Chicago Premium Outlets® Opens Multi-Million Dollar Expansion

AURORA, Ill., Aug. 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Simon, a global leader in retail real estate, announced today that its popular Chicago Premium Outlets® opened an additional 250,000 square feet of outdoor shopping space, significantly increasing the footprint of one of the country's iconic outlet centers.

New stores as well as popular existing brands expanded their presence at Chicagoland's largest and most successful outlet center. Coach, Cole Haan, Guess Factory Store, Michael Kors, Nike Factory Store, Skechers, Under Armour, and Vera Bradley have all increased their space at Chicago Premium Outlets to meet customer demand. Shoppers will also find exciting new selections from sought-after retailers including Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5^th, Columbia Sportswear, UGG Australia, Vince, and the first Midwest outlet stores for eclectic lifestyle designer Robert Graham and Clarins luxury skincare.

The new section of the center includes fire places, art installations and a feature pond, along with the addition of 2,200 parking spaces and new amenities. Concurrently with the exciting expansion, the first phase is undergoing a complete renovation including an updated Food Court, new pedestrian walkways, landscaping, lighting, seating, and signage.

Silvestri added that it has been a noteworthy month for Simon's Premium Outlets division as today's expansion comes just two weeks after the opening of another expansion at San Francisco Premium Outlets and the grand opening of Gloucester Premium Outlets, the 69^th Premium Outlets center in the U.S.  Two more Premium Outlet centers – Tucson Premium Outlets and Tampa Premium Outlets – will open in October of this year.

Among brands opening today are Abercrombie & Fitch Outlet, American Eagle Outfitters, Clarins, Columbia Sportswear, Express Factory Outlet, The Fragrance Outlet, The Limited Outlet, The Luggage Factory, Mountain Warehouse, Old Navy Outlet, Robert Graham, Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5^th, Tommy Hilfiger Kids, UGG Australia, Vans and Vince. Also opening are the Midwest's first Rise Pies handcrafted pizzeria and one of the first suburban locations for Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises' popular M Burger concept.

Additional stores, including the region's first Wellensteyn Outlet, Corning Corelle & More, Coty, Finish Line, Harry & David, Movado Company Store, Sperry Top-Sider, and an expanded J. Crew, are slated to open during the fourth quarter, in time for the holiday shopping season.
