Simonson Joins Lockton's Southeast Region

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Aug. 16 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Tom Simonson has joined Lockton as a Vice President of Lockton Financial Advisors/Lockton Investment Advisors (LFA/LIA) based in the insurance broker's Charlotte office. He will be responsible for client advocacy and new business development for Retirement Services, a part of the employee benefits consulting practice. Lockton is the world's largest privately held insurance broker.

Simonson brings over 15 years of retirement services experience. Immediately prior to joining Lockton, he served as a Principal at Mercer for nine years in their DC Advisors practice. In this position, he led new business development and client management for 401(k)/403(b) plan sponsors while providing oversight to Mercer's South and Midwest markets and serving on their national leadership team. Prior to Mercer, Simonson was VP of Sales-Retirement Services for Principal Financial Group.
