SIS Appoints Kermit S. Randa New COO

ATLANTA, Jan. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Surgical Information Systems ("SIS"), a leader in perioperative information systems, announced today the promotion of Kermit S. Randa to become their new Chief Operating Officer (COO). This is a new position at SIS and all client-facing departments will report into it. Prior to this promotion, Randa served for more than four years as Senior Vice President for Sales and Marketing at SIS.

Prior to that he held several management positions at EMC Corporation where he developed and executed sales and marketing strategies that dramatically grew EMC's presence in the healthcare market. Randa received his Masters of Health Administration from Xavier University, Cincinnati, OH. He is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS).
