Six Flags St. Louis Offers Thrills by Day and Even More Fright by Night for Fright Fest 2011

EUREKA, Mo., Sept. 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Get ready for the fright of your life as Six Flags St. Louis transforms from theme park into scream park for this year's annual Fright Fest presented by Snickers®.  For four weekends, October 7 through October 30, 2011 Six Flags St. Louis offers family thrills by day and freaky fright by night including some new scares and the return of cockroach consumption in Friday Nights Uncooked.

Thrills By Day

Daylight hours mean fun for all with the park's line up of not-so-freaky thrills featuring a variety of shows with a spooky twist.  A favorite of Fright Fest goers for many years, Love At First Fright returns with the Grand Witch still in search of the perfect brain for her Frankie and direct from Las Vegas, Steve Daily hypnotizes guests before live audiences in Trick or Trance Hypnosis.  Also offering frightful entertainment is the Phantom of Six Flags, playing his music on a 13' pipe organ while Deadman's Party features special effects and dancing that are to die for.  Younger ghouls and goblins will delight in a visit with Bugs Bunny and friends in their best Halloween costumes as well as a trip to Kids Spooky Corner for stories, hay maze fun and a special treat bag for kids 12 and under.

Fright By Night

The bewitching hour of six o'clock signals the unleashing of the freaks.  Guests beware while walking the streets of the scream park as the Trolls of the Black Water Swamp are looking for sacrifices for their king, the Sinister Clowns of the Black Top are recruiting for their horrific circus and the mutant residents of our newest community, Zombieville,  lie in wait of human flesh.  The Slaughter House haunted house, the Backlot Terror Tour haunted hayride and the all new Insanity Alley outdoor haunted maze offer the most gruesome destinations and are not for the faint of heart or children under 13 years of age. The freak show is back in town featuring The Rotten Bros. in P.T. Barnum's Side Show with their bed of nails, fire juggling, and more disgusting feats.  By popular demand, the cockroaches return in Friday Nights Uncooked.  Each Friday night, for one hour, guests who eat a live cockroach can earn a front of the line pass for the ride of their choice. Guests can spin the Roach Wheel to determine which tasty dish they will receive off of the menu including the Gruesome Twosome featuring two fresh cockroaches; the Squirting Scramble with complimentary, tasty toppings; Slim Pickin's lets guests pick out their own cockroach and Roll The Die where the number rolled is the number eaten.
