Small Business Committee to Host Louisiana Workshops

WASHINGTON, March 23 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The United States Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, which is Chaired by Senator Mary L. Landrieu, D-La., will hold five small business workshops focusing on tax and intellectual property for small businesses and entrepreneurs.

"In this economic climate, it is important that we give small business owners every available tool that we can to help their businesses succeed," Sen. Landrieu said. "I have asked my staff to continue reaching out to Louisiana small businesses to keep them informed, but more importantly, to answer their questions on many of the complex issues related to tax and intellectual property for small business owners and entrepreneurs."

The programs, being hosted by staff from the Small Business Committee with expertise in tax and intellectual property issues, will be held in various parts of Louisiana, including Lake Charles, Monroe, Bossier, Metairie and New Orleans.
