Smart Communications, Inc. Selects Teradata

MANILA, Philippines, May 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Teradata Corporation (NYSE: TDC), the world's largest company solely focused on data warehousing and enterprise analytics, announced today that Smart Communications, Inc., the number one wireless operator in The Philippines, has selected the Teradata Data Warehouse Appliance as an operational data store (ODS) to consolidate high volume of information and provide analytics capability that will address operational questions without any performance degradation.

Smart needed scalability and performance to load large volumes of data coming from different sources and process these into relevant business and operational information in near real-time.  After a series of evaluations, Smart was convinced that the Teradata Data Warehouse Appliance is best suited for their needs.
