Sogeti UK Retains Supplier Status for the New G-Cloud iii Framework

Testing and Assurance specialist awarded a place as a supplier through the new G-Cloud iii Framework, which enables rapid sourcing and deployment of secure, low cost services to the UK public sector.

Sogeti UK, a leading provider of professional technology services specialising in software testing, application management, infrastructure management and high-tech engineering, is pleased to announce that Sogeti has been awarded a contract for Lot4: Specialist Cloud Services on the G-Cloud iii framework following the third round of procurement applications. This allows the UK Government continued access to a broad range of services provided by Sogeti, with the supplier retaining its supplier status as part of the on-going G-Cloud initiative.

The G-Cloud is a cross-government initiative, under the direction of the Chief Information Officer Delivery Board. The scheme, now in its second year, has already proved itself to be a model for success, making it much easier for ICT suppliers - particularly SMEs - to do business with Government organisations through a simpler and more efficient procurement framework.

Sogeti's software testing and Quality Assurance services have been available for purchase under the previous G-Cloud ii framework since 26th October 2012, through the HM Government G-Cloud CloudStore - a searchable database that enables government agencies and buyers to match their ICT requirements with the best-fit technologies and approved service providers.

The CloudStore hosted around 1,700 services when Sogeti first joined the G-Cloud initiative in 2012. This latest framework now offers more than 7,000 technology services split into four areas - Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as Service (SaaS) and, finally, Specialist Cloud Services (SCS) under which Sogeti's services will be listed. The area of  Specialist Cloud Services already includes services such as test process assessments and improvement plans (TPI), accelerated automated functional testing, test assurance, training, managed testing, and transformation services. The new framework, G-Cloud iii, will continue to list all of the above services, but it will also include agile development testing and iSQI certified training courses on agile testing methods.
