Solar Installation by Pro-Tech Energy Saves Holy Name Friary Money on Utility Costs

BRANCHURG, N.J. and RINGWOOD, N.J., July 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Pro-Tech Energy Solutions LLC, a self-funded turnkey energy services company offering a wide array of energy efficiency upgrades and renewable energy in the Mid-Atlantic region, today announced the completion of a 48.400 Watt solar photovoltaic (PV) generation system on the roof of Holy Name Friary, a nursing facility in Ringwood, N.J.

Holy Name Friary's efforts were recognized by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Environmental Stewardship Initiative following a March 31 site visit. The goal of this initiative is to encourage regulated entities to improve their environmental performance beyond the minimum requirements of existing rules and regulations across a diverse spectrum of environmental stewardship and sustainable related practices.

The system, installed at Two Morris Road, will dramatically reduce demand on the grid during peak energy times. The solar roof system is expected to produce 50,500 kW of energy annually, accounting for approximately 10% of Holy Name's annual electric demand.

Each year the energy savings from the Holy Name Friary installation will prevent 78,007 pounds of carbon dioxide from entering the atmosphere, an environmental impact equivalent to conserving 2,886.21 gallons of gasoline per year.
