Solight Design™ Kickstarter Campaign Helping to Bring Solar Light to Hurricane Devastated Haiti
NEW YORK, Oct. 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The pioneer in self inflating solar light, Solight Design, was founded in 2009 as an answer to the dangers of kerosene used by electricity poor nations after the earthquake disaster in Haiti. With the devastating blow from Hurricane Matthew, Solight Design has refreshed their current Kickstarter campaign to help bring much needed light to Haiti again.
Solight Design recently started their newest Kickstarter program to fund their most recent solar light invention, the Twilight, which is a mini-version and more affordable alternative to their popular SolarPuff solar light. Once Hurricane Matthew passed over Haiti causing so much loss of life and damage, Solight Design immediately added various donation options to their Kickstarter campaign to provide needed light to Haiti.

"We already sent out hundreds of our solar lights to Haiti and are asking for others to visit our Kickstarter page to donate more. Famed humanitarian Dr. Alison Thompson has spent the last week in ravaged Haiti making sure that our solar lights are reaching the most in need of light," said Alice Min Shoo Chun, CEO of Solight Design and Collapsible Solar Light Pioneer.
Dr. Alison Thompson is a world renowned humanitarian and award winning volunteer, who took time away from helping refugee camps in Greece, to help the survivors in Haiti. "The gift of light is something that most people take for granted, but in Haiti our solar lights can literally be the difference between life and death. It's an honor that Solight Design has trusted me with organizing the distribution of their donated lights in Haiti. The positive impact is immense; we are changing lives with every SolarPuff," said Dr. Thompson.
Solight Design's mission is to provide lights to those who need them most. There are over 1.6 billion people who have no access to electricity and clean sustainable lighting. For people in developing nations these lights are a much needed staple. Solight Design's superior solar flat pack lights are water proof and great for the home, gardens, pools, boating, camping, fishing, hiking, corporate premiums and military applications. SolarPuffs are also the most ideal lantern for emergency and disaster relief, lightweight and the most hygienic self-inflatable solar lantern.
