Sony Electronics Announces Pricing and Availability for Three New Portable Wireless Bluetooth® Speakers

SAN DIEGO, June 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Sony Electronics announced today pricing and retail availability for the SRS-X55, SRS-X33 and SRS-X11 portable wireless Bluetooth® speakers, providing consumers with more options to listen to the music they love, in dynamic sound, no matter where they are.

The SRS-X55 and SRS-X33 feature improved audio functionality thanks to various Sony technologies: LDAC™, which provides 3x the data transmission capability for an enhanced wireless listening experience, One-touch connectivity via Near Field Communications (NFC) to easily connect compatible devices¹, DSEE for natural, spacious sound, and ClearAudio+ for more powerful bass and crisp highs.

The SRS-X55 provides powerful, portable sound in a compact, stylish design. With a built-in subwoofer, dual passive radiators and 30 Watts of power output, the X55 provides extended bass response that defies this speaker's small size. With the built-in speakerphone, conveniently answer phone calls, and with up to 10 hours of battery life², listeners can keep their favorite tunes streaming all day long. The X55 also features a single USB (5V 1.5A max output) for smartphone/tablet charging capabilities.

The SRS-X33 is an ideal portable Bluetooth® speaker for audio emphasis anytime, anywhere. Packing 20 Watts, full-range stereo speakers, and dual passive radiators, the X33 packs enough punch to fill any room with rich, full sound. More than just a speaker, take advantage of hands-free calling with the built-in speakerphone at the push of a button. The SRS-X33 provides up to 12 hours of battery life² and is available in a variety of four colors including red and blue.

The SRS-X11 is the smallest speaker in the new line-up, but despite its compact, ultra-portable size, it still packs a punch. With 10 Watts of total power output and dual passive radiators, the X11 delivers a rich, deep bass anywhere you are. Using the Speaker Add function, connect two X11 units together to either create twice the sound power in Double mode, or split the sound signal to enjoy real stereo sound in Stereo mode. The X11 also features speakerphone capability for hands-free calling as well as 12 hours of battery life². Choose from a variety of five fun colors, and keep your X11 near with the supplied silicon strap.

All of these models are available for purchase beginning today at authorized dealers nationwide and online at store.sony.com, amazon.com and other authorized dealers nationwide.
