Sony Square NYC Launches New Exhibit Highlighting the Evolution of Design in Iconic Sony Products

NEW YORK, March 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Sony Square NYC—a showplace for the latest in Sony entertainment and technology—today unveiled its newest interactive exhibit, Innovation & Design, which highlights both the evolution of technology through Sony products and the Company's unwavering pursuit of design excellence.

Visitors to Sony Square NYC will have the opportunity to touch, feel and play with over 30 products being showcased, including the original Walkman® from 1979, which gave birth to "Music on the Go," as well as its most recent incarnation, the NW-WM1Z, Sony's latest high-res Walkman.  The evolution of Sony's digital imaging products will also be on display, from the first consumer Mavica camera to today's α7 series. 

Game lovers are in for a special treat as Sony Square NYC will have working PlayStation®, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 consoles available for gameplay, enabling visitors to transport themselves back to the time when Crash Bandicoot®, Tony Hawk's® Pro Skater 3 and MotorStorm® ruled the living room.  The showroom also has a special section dedicated to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR.

Sony's entertainment robot, AIBO, will be on display, along with its humanoid cousin, QRIO.

Sony Square NYC is also thrilled to be able to showcase Sony's elegant XBR-A1E BRAVIA® OLED 4K HDR TV, which wowed the crowd at the Consumer Electronics Show in January of this year.
