Sopris Launches New EdView360 Blog to Enhance Online Community
LONGMONT, Colo., Sept. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Sopris, a provider of research-based assessments, supplemental and intervention materials, and positive behavior support and professional development products, announced today the launch of the company's new blog, EdView360. The blog will provide a forum for educators, researchers and authors to discuss today's education issues.
The inaugural EdView360 blog entry will be from Stevan Kukic, Ph.D., about the "end of an ARRA" and whether this economic boost (the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009) has actually stimulated positive, sustainable change. Kukic is a past president of the National Association of State Directors of Special Education (NASDSE), formerly served as Utah's state director of At-Risk and Special Education Services, and has been instrumental in Multitier Systems of Supports (MTSS) efforts across the country.
EdView360 enables Kukic and other education leaders to share their opinions, experiences, frustrations, inspirations and big-picture insights on a variety of topics that are important to educators and their students.
"Educators and administrators are reaching out to one another through blogs, Facebook and Twitter, in addition to other social media outlets, to find professional support and practical strategies that translate into success in the classroom," says George Logue, president of Sopris. "We are thrilled to offer new social media resources to our current and potential customers and see it as another way to help enable educators to increase student achievement as well as their own professional knowledge."
EdView360 will enhance Sopris' online community, which includes the AuthorTalk podcast series, the Fall Webinar Series (22 webinars with world-renowned researchers and educators), Facebook and Twitter.
Discussions and blog excerpts will take place on Sopris' Facebook page and Twitter account where users will also be able to access popular lessons, company information and new product announcements.
