LOS ANGELES, Sept. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California encourages residents to drop-off their small change at donation boxes located at local McDonald's restaurants or Ronald McDonald Houses on Thursday, Sept. 9, as part of the charity's Day of Change campaign. One-hundred percent of the donations will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities, including its local chapter Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California. Through a host of programs including Ronald McDonald Houses, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms and Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California provides comfort, care and support to children and families throughout the Southland.
"The donations we will receive from Day of Change, and all year long, will allow us to continue providing low-cost, often free, services like lodging, meals, psychosocial and emotional support to families of seriously- and terminally-ill children," said Nicole Rubin, CEO, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California. "No donation is too small, but its impact on the families we serve will be immeasurable."
McDonald's restaurants in Inyo, Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties will collect donations during the Day of Change fundraiser. Additionally, individuals may drop coin donations at a Ronald McDonald House in Bakersfield, Loma Linda, Los Angeles, Orange and Pasadena.
Individuals are also encouraged to discuss Day of Change through online communities such as Facebook and Twitter by using the hashtag #RMHCDayofChange.
