NEW CASTLE, Del., May 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Speakman, the premier maker of high-performance showerheads and bathroom fixtures, today unveiled a new e-commerce strategy and website to make it easier than ever for consumers to bring Speakman's unmatched shower experience and elegantly engineered products into their homes. Matched by a refreshed brand identity and marketing campaign, the new site reflects Speakman's commitment to engaging with its customers everywhere, from the hotel room to the home.

The revamped site expands on Speakman's existing online presence by delivering even more in-depth product information and multimedia capabilities, a deeper product catalogue, and instantly usable and sharable information such as how-to installation videos.

Key features include a new Performance Video Series that shows exactly how each showerhead model performs, whether low-flow or high-intensity; and a Collections showcase with curated bathroom renovations from interior designers in the Speakman Designer Spotlight Program. The site makes it easy for homeowners, interior design professionals, DIYers, and home decor aficionados to find what they need, create their signature look, and bring home the powerful performance of a Speakman shower.

Accompanying the site launch is a high-energy marketing campaign focused on how important a great shower experience can be in our everyday lives. The campaign will include promotions and giveaways on social media, live events, and advertising placements throughout the summer of 2015. Stunning examples of bathroom renovations and personal stories from interior design professionals about how Speakman products make a difference in their clients' lives also will be featured in the campaign.

"Our investment in e-commerce reflects our commitment to delivering performance and quality to customers where they increasingly prefer to shop—online," notes Speakman CEO Rob Cook. "As a brand that was born nearly 150 years ago, we know that innovation is at the heart of our continued success. With this new strategy, we are making our products even more easily available to an even broader set of customers, and look forward to expanding the Speakman community through our new website."

In addition to broadening Speakman's online presence, the new e-commerce strategy also builds on the company's established hospitality, industrial, and commercial customer base. As a leader in bath fixture design for some of the most recognized hotels, corporate facilities, and R&D organizations in the world, Speakman will continue to deliver innovation and superior products in those sectors while building greater consumer brand awareness.

Founded in 1869, Speakman invented the first shower as an alternative to tub bathing. In the decades since, Speakman has been a leading supplier of bathroom fixtures to the hospitality, designer, and contractor markets, as well a leading supplier of safety products (such as eye washes and contamination showers) to industry.

Speakman invented showering. For over 140 years, Speakman has pioneered the shower industry, first as a premiere American technology innovator, and continuously as a shower market leader. With the creation of the Anystream® showerhead in the early 1920's, Speakman popularized the modern shower as well as the total shower experience that is still widely imitated. Today, Speakman continues to advance its original mission by focusing on performance and craftsmanship across all offerings, from showerheads and designer-inspired bath collections for the home to fixtures for the hospitality industry and safety products for commercial, laboratory, and industrial environments.
