Spin Master Games Acquires Worldwide Rights to Perplexus™

TORONTO & LOS ANGELES, Feb. 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ - Spin Master Games is thrilled to announce it is the #3 Games Manufacturer in Annual 2012 according to The NPD Group and has recently acquired the worldwide rights to Perplexus™.

Spin Master Games has seen remarkable growth over the last year. The launch of the new kids game Fibber™ in Fall 2012 was extremely successful and was #1 dollar growth games property in Q4 2012 according to NPD and was nominated for Game of the Year by the Toy Industry Association. Popular games, Hedbanz™ and Logo™, continued to be top sellers, Logo™ being the #1 in family games and Hedbanz™ is the #1 children's game, according to NPD in 2012.

Following these accolades, Spin Master acquired the worldwide rights to Perplexus™. Beginning April 1^st, 2013, Spin Master Games will distribute Perplexus™ Epic, Original, and Rookie to specialty and all mass retailers and will be supported by a full marketing campaign this fall.

In addition to Perplexus™, key highlights include Boom Boom Balloon™ for kids and two new exciting family games, Logo Party™ and Hedbanz Act Up™, all available in August.

Boom Boom Balloon™ is the kids game that's a real blast! Each player rolls the die and carefully pushes a stick until it clicks. Watch as the balloon squishes and squeezes, stretches and strains. Will the next click of the stick make it pop? You never know when the balloon will go BOOM! If it pops on your turn, you're out!

Hedbanz Act Up™, the game where actions speak louder than words! Each player takes turns putting a card in their headband and must guess their card before time runs out. However, there is a catch. No talking allowed! Watch others act out your card in this hilarious version of the original Hedbanz game. The first player to get rid of their tokens wins!

Logo Party™ is the Party Edition of the popular, award-winning LOGO Board Game! As in the original game, the LOGO Party Edition highlights well-known logos, brands and product mascots. But in this game, there is no trivia. Each team has 20 seconds to figure out Brand names from one of four card categories: Do It!, Draw It!, Describe It!, or Reveal It! The first team to reach the end of the game board wins!
