Sports and Entertainment Risk Management Expert Joins Lockton

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Lori L. Shaw, an insurance and risk management leader in gaming, entertainment, and sports, has joined Lockton, the world's largest privately held, independent insurance broker. Shaw will lead the Gaming, Advertising, Media, Entertainment and Sports practice (GAMES) from Lockton's Charlotte, NC office.

Shaw has more than 30 years of professional experience in gaming, entertainment, media, sports, venues, recreation, and related industries. Most recently she was Executive Director of the Global Entertainment Group for Aon Risk Services.

Lori is a leading subject matter expert on contingency and complex participant accident coverage. This includes event cancellation, non-appearance, prize indemnity, over-redemption, contractual bonus, transmission failure, and confidential life and disability.  She is a frequent contributor to industry publications.

Shaw graduated from Huntington University in Indiana where she played on a national championship basketball team. She holds the Certified Insurance Counselor designation from the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research. Shaw is a past President of the North American Contingency Association, an industry group, and has been recognized twice as a "Power Broker" by Risk & Insurance magazine.
