Overtures Holiday Concert Series features festive decor at Evermay, New sponsorship opportunities

WHAT: Following the acclaimed Overtures Summer Concert Series, the S&R Foundation is pleased to announce its inaugural Overtures Holiday Concert Series. The series features both classical and jazz musicians with the first two concerts made possible, in part, by partnering organization, the DC Jazz Festival (DCJF).

Music lovers may celebrate the holidays with seven performances at the historic Evermay Estate. Guests will be treated to a merry setting, as Evermay will be festively decorated for the season.   

There are a limited number of tickets available and the Overtures Holiday Concert Series is expected to sell out quickly. Various sponsorship opportunities are available, including the opportunity for a private post-event dinner in the Evermay formal dining room.

WHEN: Fridays, November 2 - December 14, 2012
Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
Concerts begin at 6:30 p.m.

WHO: Overtures is a unique concert series that presents award-winning, world-class performing artists who are emerging in their musical careers. The series will feature talented classical and jazz musicians, playing guitar, piano, violin and trumpet.

• November   9 – Cyrus Chestnut, Jazz Piano*
• November 16 – Tamaki Kawakubo, Violin
• November 23 – Yu Kosuge, Piano
• November 30 – Jeb Patton, Jazz Piano
• December   7 – Yura Lee, Violin
• December 14 – Ryo Yanagitani, Piano
