SRS Energy Appoints JD Albert as Chief Executive Officer

PHILADELPHIA, May 18 /PRNewswire/ -- SRS Energy, a leading developer of building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) products, is pleased to announce that JD Albert has been appointed Chief Executive Officer.  Mr. Albert has led the company's product development efforts as Director of Engineering since 2007.  He was instrumental in the design and engineering of SRS Energy's Sole Power Tile™, the nation's first curved solar roofing tile, designed to blend seamlessly with US Tile's mission-style clay roofing products.

Albert joined SRS Energy with over ten years of product development and commercialization expertise.  Prior to joining SRS Energy, Albert was Principal Engineer and co-founder of E Ink Corporation, whose technology is used in electronic books such as the Amazon Kindle and the Sony Reader.  Albert worked with global partners to develop products and manufacturing technology for the novel display material.  During his time at E Ink, the company grew from four people to over one hundred, and in 2009, E Ink was acquired for approximately $400M by a Taiwanese company.  Albert has been published and featured in publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Fortune Magazine, and USA Today, and holds forty-seven U.S. patents.  He earned his undergraduate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
