He began Star Cat and Sun Bear as a personal vow after his wife's brain tumor diagnosis and the death of their beloved cat—turning grief into a cosmic adventure about resilience, identity, and destiny.

Steven's background bridges Hollywood and academia: he studied storytelling with former Paramount and Disney executive David Kirkpatrick, known for greenlighting Top Gun and The Little Mermaid, and worked in the linguistics lab at the University of Pennsylvania under Bill Labov, the father of sociolinguistics. With 15+ years designing media for startups and defense projects, plus training at the Shaolin Temple under warrior monk Shifu Shi De Chen, Taylor fuses discipline, cinematic instinct, and emotional depth into every panel of SCSB.
