Starlight Children's Foundation Launches "Stream For Starlight" Campaign in Honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Gamers and content creators nationwide aim to raise $125,000 to deliver Starlight programs to kids battling cancer.

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Starlight Children's Foundation today announced the launch of this year's Stream For Starlight (S4S) campaign, running for the entire month of September in recognition of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The fundraising initiative aims to raise $125,000 to bring Starlight Gaming to hundreds of hospitals across the country, helping young patients cope with fear, find distraction from pain and build trusted connections with care teams. Content creators will go live on their channels to play games, craft, cook, and more, rallying their communities to support Starlight's mission to deliver happiness to seriously ill kids and their families.

Since Stream For Starlight launched in 2019, more than 2,000 charity streamers have raised over $3 million for Starlight. In 2024 alone, the S4S community raised $473,000 to fund the delivery of Starlight Gaming Stations to hospitals nationwide. This September's campaign strives to build on that momentum, with special kick-off events, tournaments, and community challenges planned throughout the month.
