Starwood Retail Partners Adds Three Senior Executives

CHICAGO, Sept. 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Starwood Retail Partners ("SRP"), the retail platform that oversees the underwriting and management of retail investments by Starwood Capital Group, announced today that it has hired three senior executives in Chicago, Steve Barnthouse, Jeff Dyrda and Tim Lordan.  Mr. Lordan joins as Senior Vice President of Asset Management IR / JV Reporting; Mr. Dyrda joins as Director of Accounting; and Mr. Barnthouse joins as Regional Director of Operations.

Tim Lordan will be responsible for asset management as well as overseeing all joint venture reporting to investors.  Mr. Lordan brings to SRP significant experience managing institutional investment funds and working with institutional investors. Prior to joining SRP, Mr. Lordan held senior positions at DDR and The Rouse Company. He has also served at KPMG specializing in real estate transactions and REIT accounting.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Jeff Dyrda will serve as Director of Accounting overseeing all accounting functions at the property and corporate levels.  Prior to joining SRP, Mr. Dyrda was Vice President, Finance & Accounting, Global Real Estate and Development for Hyatt Hotels Corporation. He previously worked as an auditor at Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) and then extensively within the real estate industry including Jones Lang LaSalle.  He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society.

As Regional Director of Operations, Steve Barnthouse will provide management oversight of SRP's investment in Blue Back Square in West Hartford, CT;  Rimrock Mall in Billings, MT; Kitsap Mall in Silverdale, WA; and Northridge Mall in Northridge, CA.  He will work with all onsite management teams and help guide all property level operations.  Prior to joining SRP, he was the Vice President of Operations for RED Development.
