NEW YORK, March 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- MWW Group (www.mww.com), one of the five largest independent public relations firms worldwide, announced today that Stephanie Sutton has joined the firm as a vice president in its corporate affairs practice. Sutton's experience includes work as a top national fundraiser for Hillary Clinton's 2008 Presidential Campaign, as well as New York finance director for Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY).
In her new role at MWW, Sutton will report directly to president and CEO Michael W. Kempner and will help develop and lead influencer strategies for a number of MWW Group clients. Sutton's hire comes on the heels of a number of key additions to the MWW Group team, including the recent appointment of Ankit Desai as a senior vice president in the firm's Washington, D.C. office.
"Stephanie is a great talent who has led highly successful fundraising and public policy initiatives for some of the nation's and world's most influential politicians. Her insider's knowledge of government coupled with her network of relationships on the local, state, federal and global levels will be a great asset to our clients and our firm," said Kempner.
In addition to her work for Clinton and Gillibrand, Sutton served as a fundraising consultant for Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT). Sutton was also the deputy director of outreach for Third Way, a non-profit think-tank that creates and advances policies under economic, national security, culture, domestic policy and clean energy programs. Prior to Third Way, she served as an associate at leading public affairs firms Quinn Gillespie & Associates and previously, Nancy Jacobson Consulting. Sutton holds a Bachelor of Arts in government from Georgetown University.
