Realizing the challenges Nurses were facing to cover the costs to further their education, Cherokee Medical Uniforms created the Cherokee Medical Uniforms Nursing Conference Scholarship Program. This annual program provides financial assistance to DAISY Award Honorees who are pursuing continuing education credits to support their licensure, credentialing or overall professional development.
Jamie Bach, a 2017 scholarship recipient stated, "What an incredible collaboration between Cherokee Scrubs and The DAISY Foundation. They have empowered me to take my critical care nursing to an international level at the Canadian Critical Care Conference. This scholarship will definitely help improve my knowledge base and critical care skills. It will also allow me to bring new innovations and evidence based practice updates back to my staff, ultimately improving our patient care in our extremely busy ICU."

More than 1000 DAISY Award recipients have applied for this scholarship since its inception. The panel of judges, representing a cross section of nursing leaders, is responsible for making the difficult decision of selecting the scholarship recipients from a very competitive field. The DAISY Foundation and Cherokee Uniforms offer congratulations to the following individuals on being selected to receive one of the ten $2,000 scholarships in 2018:
