Strengthened Document Security Increases SavvyDox Government Penetration

OTTAWA, Ontario, June 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- SavvyDox, a leader in cloud-based document co-authoring and collaboration, has been awarded a follow on order from the Government of Canada that includes strengthened security for document distribution.  SavvyDox has partnered with Entrust Datacard to add a second layer of encryption and strong authentication for Protected "B" documents avoiding unauthorized disclosure that could reasonably be expected to cause serious injury to an individual, organization, or government.

The initial Government of Canada implementation includes integrations with Single Sign On, Active Directory, and OpenText providing a seamless and frictionless parallel end to end collaboration solution.  In this deployment, SavvyDox provides benefits similar to a face-to-face meeting and ensures that the document author not only controls the content of the document, but also the distribution of the document, eliminating security concerns associated with leaked documents.  SavvyDox' Open API supports a complementary solution to manage version control and the content of a document rather than just file retention and file sharing provided by Enterprise Content Management Systems or File Sync and Share Solutions.

As an Entrust Datacard Technology Alliance Partner, SavvyDox is working to integrate with Entrust Entelligence™ Security Provider to provide encryption and strong authentication when used in conjunction with PKI certificates generated by the Entrust PKI technology at the Government of Canada. This additional layer of security facilitates the distribution of Protected "B" documents for collaboration in SavvyDox. 

To address US Federal Government requirements, SavvyDox has completed distribution agreements with Provista, based in Fremont, CA and Cygnacom, based in Washington, DC.  Both companies are in process of adding SavvyDox to their GSA schedules and anticipate deployments within the next few months. 

In parallel with these activities, SavvyDox has added Dr. Jose Pereira, MBchB, DA, CCFP, MSc, to their Board of Advisors.  Dr. Pereira, a key user in the original SavvyDox beta test site at Pallium Canada noted "SavvyDox saved us many hours of work trying to collate the updates and all the input for our Palliative Care handbook."
