Student with Special Needs Awarded Trip of a Lifetime to World's First Ultra-Accessible Family Fun Park

SAN ANTONIO, May 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Ten-year-old Dylan Horne and his family from Bryant, Ark. are headed on a trip to Morgan's Wonderland, the world's first ultra-accessible family fun park. Sponsored by PCI Education and Dell, and hosted by online community WeAreTeachers, the nationwide contest asked special education teachers to nominate their students for the trip of a lifetime to Morgan's Wonderland. As the nominating teacher of the grand-prize winner, Jane Sago of Bryant Public Schools' Bryant Elementary School will also be awarded a $2,500 gift card for products from PCI Education, the premier provider of resources for students with specialized instructional needs.

One hundred teachers nominated a student and his or her family for a chance to win the trip to Morgan's Wonderland. The nominations were posted to the WeAreTeachers online community and received more than 40,000 votes over a three-week period. After the voting period, the top 20 nominations with the most votes were sent to a selection committee. After several days of deliberation, the committee selected Horne as the winner of this year's contest, based on merit. The grand prize includes a three-day, two-night trip for four people to visit Morgan's Wonderland in San Antonio, valued at $5,000. Teachers who nominated the second through sixth place students will also receive a $500 gift card to spend on PCI Education products.
