STX Entertainment Partners With Twitch For Unprecedented "Hardcore Henry" Trailer Debut During 2-Hour Live Event On February 10

BURBANK, Calif., Feb. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- STX Entertainment and Twitch, the world's leading social video platform and community for gamers, have partnered for a first-of-its-kind trailer debut for Hardcore Henry, the unflinchingly original action film which is premiering in the highly-anticipated SXSW Film Festival. This event–which marks the first time a major motion picture is exclusively debuting a trailer on the Twitch platform–was revealed today by Oren Aviv, President and Chief Content Officer for STX Entertainment's Motion Picture Group, and Jack Pan, President of Theatrical Marketing for STX Entertainment's Motion Picture Group.  

The trailer debut will launch on Twitch during a special two-hour live event on Wednesday, February 10 between 6-8 PM (PST).  The event will air on summit1g's Twitch channel (www.twitch.tv/summit1g) where he will be joined by three other popular Twitch broadcasters (Ms Vixen, Force, and Rachel "Seltzer" Quirico).  Together they will host the trailer launch which will also feature live chats with Ilya Naishuller, the writer/ director of Hardcore Henry and an avid video game enthusiast. The film itself pays homage to many first-person video games, many of which are referenced throughout Hardcore Henry.

Hardcore Henry will be released nationwide on April 8, 2016.
