Sunrise has earned the WELL Health-Safety Rating for the third consecutive year and the WELL Equity Rating for the second year in a row—both awarded at scale by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), the global authority for advancing health in buildings, organizations and communities. In addition to the annual ratings, two Sunrise communities—The Apsley and Sunrise at East 56th—also achieved specific WELL Certifications, a more comprehensive recognition of health-focused building operations and design. The Apsley achieved WELL Platinum, while Sunrise at East 56th earned Silver. These flagship Manhattan communities have also been awarded LEED certification, by the U.S. Green Building Council for excellence in sustainable construction and operations, with The Apsley receiving LEED Gold and Sunrise at East 56th earning LEED Silver.

Additionally, 63 Sunrise communities have earned an ENERGY STAR^® certification from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), placing them among the top 25% of buildings nationwide for energy performance.
