Superior Petroleum Company Sponsors "Holy Family Dining Project," a Fundraising Effort to Build a New Dining Room at Holy Family Institute, with Support Through the BP Fueling Communities Program
In the Pittsburgh community, Holy Family Institute empowers children and families to lead responsible lives and develop healthy and meaningful relationships built on faith, hope and love
PITTSBURGH, Pa., Dec. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program
In conjunction with BP's Fueling Communities Program, Superior Petroleum Company has chosen to fund an effort to build a new dining room in Holy Family Institute that will be beautiful and functional, and employ a local artist to create a mural that will transform a hallway into a showpiece that the Institute and its residents, staff, students and families can enjoy for years to come.
Transforming Lives
Here are just some of the ways that Holy Family Institute makes Pittsburgh a better place; Residential Programs, In-home Family Counseling, Substance Abuse Services, Specialized Schools, Mental Health Counseling, Youth Workforce Development, Parent-Child Literacy Program, SNAP and Energy Assistance Programs.
Restoring Hope
Dr. Martin Luther King said, "Hope: Everything that is done in the world is done by hope." While Holy Family Institute accomplishes so much good, there is only so much they can do and the present dining room and hallway entrance are cheerless. Superior will remodel and beautify the dining room and hallway. Superior's hope is that the fundraiser will raise enough money to buy new tables and chairs and other necessary items to complete this transformation, and make the dining experience there pleasurable for everyone involved.
Change for Change
Residents in Pittsburgh and surrounding areas will see a donation-jug in over one-hundred gas station/convenience stores labeled "Change for Change." They will be in the "BP Fueland Stores," and most Valero stores accompanied by a postcard that illustrates all of Holy Family Institute's virtuous work. Any money collected in these donation- jugs will go towards the dining room project at Holy Family Institute. The official registration and financial information of Holy Family Institute may be obtained from the PA Dept. of State by calling 1-800-732-0999 which is a 501c3 organization. If anyone would like to contribute and write a check they can make it out to Holy Family Institute and mail it to "Holy Family Dining Project," in care of Superior Petroleum Company, 8199 McKnight Road, Pittsburgh PA 15237.
