Susan E. Mack joins Royal Neighbors of America as Secretary and General Counsel

ROCK ISLAND, Ill., April 11, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Susan E. Mack, formerly of Jacksonville, FL, has been appointed Secretary and General Counsel for Royal Neighbors of America, effective March 18, 2013.

With more than 25 years of experience in the reinsurance and insurance industry, Ms. Mack has combined strong business acumen with expertise in law, corporate governance, compliance, and policy in both the life/health and property/casualty sectors. Beginning her career as a trial attorney, she rose to senior-level positions as general counsel, claims head, treaty officer, and business line leader with special emphasis on arbitration and mediation.

Prior to joining Royal Neighbors, Ms. Mack has served as General Counsel to The Main Street America Group, Transamerica Reinsurance, and St. Paul Re, Inc., and as senior corporate counsel to Aetna Life and Casualty.

Graduating from Dartmouth College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, Ms. Mack earned her Juris Doctorate degree at Boston College Law School. She is one of the founding directors and certified arbitrator/umpire of the AIDA Reinsurance and Insurance Arbitration Society (ARIAS-US); is a founding director and past president of the Association of Corporate Counsel (North Florida); has served as chairperson of Go Red for Women, American Heart Association; is a director of the Royal Neighbors Foundation; and is a member of the Jacksonville Women's Network, the Association of Corporate Counsel, and Jacksonville Uptown Civitan, a community service club for women.
