Swrve Appoints Christopher S. Dean as Chief Executive Officer

SAN FRANCISCO, June 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Swrve, the world's leading mobile marketing automation platform, today announced that Christopher S. Dean has been appointed Chief Executive Officer by the company's Board of Directors. Dean will be responsible for overseeing Swrve's entire business operation and is tasked with driving global expansion and mass adoption.

Dean brings a wealth of expertise from his tenure in the mobile, SAAS and IP communications markets. Most recently, he served as Chief Revenue Officer at Urban Airship (UA), a leader in mobile relationship management, where he was responsible for driving the company's revenue goals through the management of the sales and business development organizations. During his tenure, Dean increased revenue by more than 400 percent and grew the organization from 16 to 42, and grew enterprise customers from 50 to more than 400.

Prior to Urban Airship, Dean spent three years at Skype where he held various roles including chief strategy officer, head of consumer market business development, and head of global business and corporate development. While at Skype, Dean focused on growing each of the company's four business units – mobile, consumer, enterprise and platform – through corporate strategy, global alliances, distribution partnerships and M&A. Earlier in his career, Dean served as SVP of marketing and business development at FaceTime Communications (now Actiance) and held other executive roles at Texada Capital, Epoch Partners and SmartAge.com, among others.

Swrve also announced that co-founder Hugh Reynolds will assume a new role as Chief Strategy Officer. In this role, Reynolds will work closely with Dean to develop, communicate and implement strategic global initiatives that will further position Swrve as the top name in mobile marketing.
