Sybase IQ Delivers Best Performance Results for Enterprise-Scale Data Warehousing and Analytics

This benchmark simulates decision support systems that analyze enterprise-scale data volumes, execute queries with a high degree of complexity, and give answers to critical business questions. The test results provide another example of how the Sybase IQ 15.2 innovative architecture and query parallelism delivers maximum performance while requiring less overall IT resources by fully utilizing available assets, which significantly reduces ownership costs.

• A greater than 40% reduction in price-performance over the previous performance record holder at the 1 TB scale-factor among non-clustered systems
• With Sybase IQ 15.2, the highest QphH ever published for Sybase IQ in the TPC-H
• The IBM POWER 780 server, driven by POWER7® processors and incorporating solid state drive technology, is one of the most powerful members of the IBM POWER Systems™ family.
