Synapse ITS, a Portfolio Company of Vance Street Capital, Acquires GovComm, Expanding its Portfolio of Wrong-Way Vehicle Detection

LOS ANGELES, June 5, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Synapse ITS (Synapse), a leading provider of intelligent transportation systems, today announced the acquisition of GovComm, a Florida-based traffic technology company specializing in wrong-way vehicle detection systems (WWVDS). The move marks a strategic step in expanding Synapse's safety-focused platform and accelerating the national rollout of GovComm's proven technology.

Founded in 2012, GovComm has built a strong reputation in Florida and neighboring regions. The company specializes in deploying field-tested systems that accurately detect wrong-way drivers. These systems activate wrong-way warning signs in real time and immediately notify traffic management centers. The WWVDS systems are currently installed across major highway exit ramps and approved by the Florida Department of Transportation.
