Synergy for Change Award to Morgan Stanley GIFT and Harrington Discovery Institute

Award highlights collaboration between for profit and non-profit achieving great impact

CLEVELAND, Feb. 5, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- At the 2024 Donor Advised Funds (DAF) Giving Summit, in Nashville, Tennessee, the Synergy for Change Award was presented to Morgan Stanley GIFT Cures, powered by Harrington Discovery Institute. The Synergy for Change Award honors partnerships between for-profits and operating charities that achieve greater impact together than independently. The 2024 Award recognizes efforts to accelerate treatments for complex diseases, including Alzheimer's, cancer, and rare diseases.

The DAF Giving Summit was created to bring charitable giving into the modern world, from showcasing new technologies to sharing today's best practices and more. Awards celebrate leaders driving innovation in philanthropy. This recognition underscores the collaborative work advancing medical breakthroughs and transforming outcomes for patients with unmet medical needs.

Morgan Stanley GIFT Cures℠ powered by Harrington Discovery Institute was established in 2019 as the first special interest program of Morgan Stanley Global Impact Funding Trust (GIFT) in response to client demands for concrete results and outcomes from their philanthropy in disease research. The program enables philanthropists, foundations, family offices, and companies to catalyze breakthrough treatments and bring cures to market—whether focusing on specific diseases or across a broad spectrum by combining resources to magnify the impact of their giving.
