Taiwan Excellence to Showcase Cutting-Edge Innovations at Houston's Memorial City Mall
HOUSTON, Sept. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Taiwan Excellence Showcase, presented by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) & Taipei Economic and Cultural Office In Houston, is coming to the Memorial City Mall in Houston, TX from September 25-29 and will offer the public an opportunity to experience Taiwan's latest state-of-the-art innovations in consumer electronics, fitness and security industry products. The action-packed showcase will include appearances by a host of dignitaries, including Houston Rockets NBA star Troy Daniels and U.S. Olympian Kevin Tan, the team captain of the 2008 U.S. men's gymnastics team, as they will show their support for Taiwan Excellence.
In addition to Daniels and Tan, a host of other dignitaries that feature political and community leaders are scheduled to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony and press conference of the Taiwan Excellence Showcase on September 25th, 2014.
Visitors to the Taiwan Excellence Showcase will enjoy a free interactive family event featuring a vast array of innovative, award-winning products that will be on display. The Taiwan Excellence Awards is an award that is presented by the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) to encourage Taiwan industries to upgrade and incorporate innovation into their products. The Taiwan Excellence Awards Selection is based on four different criteria: research and development; design; quality; and marketing. Each product must score evenly well in each category in order to be selected. An esteemed international panel of judges determine finalists following several evaluations.
