Take The Lead Arizona Announces Lily DeBlieux And Felicia Davis Leadership Ambassadors for 50 Women Can Change The World
PHOENIX, Aug. 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Take The Lead™ founded by Gloria Feldt, national expert on women's leadership, welcomes Lily Matos DeBlieux and Felicia Davis as Take The Lead Arizona Leadership Ambassadors. The women will help lead a new, intensive leadership training program for women in Maricopa County working in the nonprofit sector. The program, 50 Women Can Change the World, was developed by Take The Lead.™
Lily Matos DeBlieux is an educator, school superintendent, and leadership expert who has worked in the corporate world and owned her own business. She founded Si No Yo, Quien? (If not I, who?) which provides motivational talks and training for women, with a focus on Latina women.
"50 Women Can Change the World is unique because it focuses on the nonprofit field, where worker bees are women, and the leaders are usually men," DeBlieux explained. "It's exceptional because it is specific. Women graduate with a strategic plan based on their needs and goals to propel them to the next level of success in their personal and professional lives."
Entrepreneur and author Felicia Davis is a former Human Resources Executive with more than 20 years' experience with companies including Kodak, Manpower and T-Mobile. The National Council of Negro Women honored her as a Woman of Excellence.
"I am grateful to have the opportunity to serve as a Leadership Ambassador and see women soar to new heights," Davis said. "Women in the nonprofit sector are inherently changing the world in a meaningful way by the very nature of the work they do. But they are often at a disadvantage because they lack the tools and resources to help them move into leadership. This program gives them both."
50 Women Can Change the World includes five, in-person training sessions, a robust online learning program, and executive coaching. Participants are guided and mentored while they develop powerful strategic leadership action plans and gain practical and tactical skills to better equip them to lead nonprofit organizations in the 21st century.
A few spots are still available for the inaugural class. Applications can be downloaded at www.taketheleadwomen.com. 50 Women Can Change the World is supported American Express Foundation, SRP, APS, Freeport McMoRan, Copperpoint Mutual Insurance Company, Frontdoors, the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, and Dr. Mitchell and Kerry Giangobbe,Veincare of Arizona.
Take The Lead is a 501c3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to prepare, develop, inspire and propel women to take their fair and equal share of leadership positions across all sectors by 2025.
