Talented artists heat things up in January at Fallsview Casino Resort

NIAGARA FALLS, ON, Oct. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ - Having more fun is one resolution that should be on every New Year's wish list, and Fallsview Casino will make good on its promise by offering a crowd-pleasing entertainment lineup in January.

Heating things up, one of the most successful and respected singer-songwriters, Alan Jackson, makes his Fallsview Casino debut. He has sold nearly 60 million albums worldwide, topped the country singles charts 35 times and scored more than 50 Top-10 hits. He is an 18-time ACM Award winner, a 16-time CMA Award recipient, and a two-time Grammy-winning artist whose songwriting has earned him the prestigious ASCAP Founders Award and an induction into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame as a Songwriter/Artist inductee.

Multi-talented Vicki Lawrence will set the stage on fire as she delights audiences with her characteristic sense of humour during a two-night stage production of "Vicki Lawrence and Mama".

One of most beloved television personalities, Lawrence won over countless fans for her role as Thelma Harper/Mama on The Carol Burnett Show, where she spent 11 seasons and earned one Emmy and five Emmy nominations. Following the Burnett show, Lawrence went on to star in her own TV series, Mama's Family, before perfecting her hosting skills on the daytime network-version of Win, Lose or Draw and her own daytime talk show, Vicki!, for which she was nominated for a Daytime Emmy. In addition to her philanthropic efforts, Lawrence travels the country speaking to women's organizations about her life and career, women's health and being a woman in a man's world.

Audiences will be charged up when imagination comes to life at Fallsview Casino with the award-winning production Magique, starring grand illusionists Kevin & Caruso. A blend of grand illusions, dazzling costumes, a dose of comedy and special effects culminate in a stage spectacular where performers materialize and disappear in a cloud of smoke, pass through a cluster of spinning blades and levitate in full lighting.
