Team Big Red Camaro Builds 2015 Camaro Z/28 To Auction For Ride 2 Recovery Veteran's Charity

SANTA MONICA, Calif., March 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Team Big Red Camaro the team that supports The Original Outlaw Racer® announced today that they will auction their 2015 "Big Red Edition Z/28" Camaro this April 16^th, 2016 at Mecum Auctions in Houston, TX (Lot #S84) to benefit the Ride 2 Recovery veteran's charity.

Over the last nine months, Team Big Red Camaro has committed to building a modern Camaro to emulate the speed and badassery of The Original Outlaw Racer®, Big Red. The original Big Red Camaro is an iconic 1969 Camaro Z/28, known to many for fathering what is now called, "Pro-Touring."  Most recently the '69 Camaro set a high water mark for any and all first Generation Camaros with an official recorded top speed of 251.8 MPH at the Mojave 1.5 Mile Runway Challenge.  Since 1988 when Hot Rod Magazine dubbed Big Red "The Baddest Camaro Ever", Owner/Driver R.J. Gottlieb has made it his purpose to keep the car an apex predator in the world of Unlimited Outlaw Racing.

"When we decided to do this build for the charity Ride 2 Recovery, we set out to choose the best products available for the modern Z/28, in order to pay tribute to the car I have raced since I was 17 years old," said RJ Gottlieb.
